Unlocking

There is a chance that the cell phone you use is locked to a specific service provider. If you attempt to ditch that company, the phone will stop functioning. In the case you go to a foreign country and try to use a mobile service of another provider, your phone will not be operational. This is called a “locked” phone.

There is no need to continue with this problem though. You can unlock your phone and enjoy the freedom of choice to use your phone with multiple service providers. Moreover you can even change your phone number and service accounts.

At Wireless Warehouse, we have been specializing in unlocking mobiles since 2008. We have unlocked thousands of phones and are regarded as one of the prominent names in the unlocking phone industry in the area. Our staff can unlock phones from almost every manufacturer, carriers and models.

Mobile Technologies

Presently two mobile technologies are dominant: CDMA or Code Division Multiple Access and GSM or Global System for Mobile Communication. If your phone runs on CDMA, it cannot be unlocked. But if your phone is run by GSM, it can be unlocked.

GSM phones utilize SIM or Subscriber Identity Module cards. A SIM card is a very small card which is inserted into a phone. It is the repository of most of your phone settings as well as contacts and it is connected to your account. It is possible for you to take out the SIM card, place it into a different phone. You can also insert a new SIM into the unlocked phone. This way the phone will work with the new SIM, with the new phone number and account connected to that particular card. CDMA phones do not have SIM cards and the service provider authenticates the number, which is why it is impossible to unlock a CDMA phone.
